Battlebots!
A three-pound (beetleweight) combat robot that I designed, assembled, and competed. The robot is made of mostly aluminum and 3D-printed plastics such as TPU and PETG and uses brushless DC motors to power the drivetrain and weapon.
Custom CNC Machine
Featuring a 300x500mm bed, this custom CNC router design is capable of cutting materials as strong as aluminum, nylon, and Delrin for under $300.
Radio frequency cavity cleaning at Fermilab
I helped to create a robotic arm which aids in the cleaning and maintenance of hard-to-reach spaces here at Fermilab. The project featured a custom GUI controlling the different axes driven by stepper motors.
FIRST Robotics Competition
I designed, assembled, tested, and competed robots for four years on my high school's FRC team. I was primarily responsible for rapid prototyping and designing parts in CAD.
FPV Drone
I built a drone with a camera and headset for first-person viewing during flight. I trained for flight using drone simulator software, and tuned the flight controller using Betaflight.
Fruit-picking VEX robot
I worked with two other Robotics Engineering undergraduates to create a VEX robot featuring color sensing, line sensing, distance sensing, and more, to pick and place plastic "fruits" from a tree.
Vacuum-formed skateboards
I vacuum-formed sheets of maple wood with glue between them to form various contours of skateboards.
